We host a variety of monthly activities, such as:

New This Year! Topic Pot Luck!
Since we all enjoy good conversation around the dinner table, we decided to host a potluck supper once a month. And everyone gets to have a say in what we talk about.

Don't worry about being shy. All topics will be anonymous. That's where the topic pot comes in; we write down a question we'd like answered and put it in the pot. No one knows who wrote what, and we all get a chance to share our thoughts.

Coffee Breaks
A great way for women to meet others in the community is at our monthly thematic coffee breaks.

The Knowlton Coffee Breaks are held at the Brome Lake Community Centre located at 270 Victoria Street once a month from 1:30 to 3:30.

At Avante, the Coffee Breaks are once a month from 9:30 until 11:30.

What we are offering on our Tuesday evenings has changed for this year, in that we are stepping back from some of our regular programming to give our members the opportunity to become more 'proactive' in the activities.

3Cs Club
Every month, 4 local women’s groups meet alternatively in Bedford and Cowansville for an abundant array of breakfast snacks and a cheerful activity of bilingual conversation.

These social events start at 9:30 and run until 11:00. Registration is required. Subsidized transportation and daycare are available upon request. Please call Barb one week before the scheduled dates at 450-248-0530 or by email at avantebarb@bellnet.ca

Avante Tours
We welcome any suggestions for local Avante Tours (carpooling to various public attractions as a group with minimal costs).

If you have a destination in mind that you would like to visit with a group and it’s in our area, let Barb know at avantebarb@bellnet.ca and we'll help put something together.

Cultural Outings
Since 2005, thanks to a grant from Townshippers' Foundation, Avante Women's Centre has been offering Cultural Outings in order to to promote the fields of English arts and culture in the Eastern Townships and surrounding areas.

So far we have taken our members along with their friends and families to the following places:
