International Women's Day
United, mobilized & sure to go forward!On March 8th, 2009, a talent show and brunch will be held to mark International Woman’s Day. The production is organised by the Coalition of Women’s Groups of Brome-Missisquoi and Haute-Yamaska. During brunch, which begins at 11 am, local artists will showcase their talents ranging from singing to dance to theatre. You will also get the chance to applaud women who have distinguished themselves through their actions taken to improve the status of women. Among the number of candidates proposed by members of women’s groups, three will be recognized by the Coalition: one from Brome-Missisquoi, one from Haute-Yamaska and one from the Anglophone community in either region.
